Factro for Shopify
Install once and your Shopify orders become Factro customers, sales orders, invoices and receivables. Read-only: Factro never writes anything back to your store.
- 01
Shopify order
A shopper checks out. The order reaches Factro within seconds.
- 02
Factro CRM
The buyer is matched to an existing customer or created as a new one.
- 03
Sales order & invoice
A reviewable sales order is raised, then a tax-ready invoice.
- 04
Collections & accounting
Payments, receivables and ageing update on one ledger.
What Factro reads from your store
Factro reads two things and nothing else: your orders, and your product catalogue. Each field below has a job in the order rail above.
| Data | Used for |
|---|---|
| Order id, number, date | Matching a Shopify order to one Factro sales order, so a resend never duplicates it. |
| Order total, currency, status | The sales order and invoice value, and whether it is still open. |
| Line items — name, SKU, quantity, price | The invoice lines, and matching each line to your Factro item master. |
| Customer name, email, phone | Creating or matching the customer the invoice is raised against. |
| Billing and shipping address | Tax region, invoice address and delivery details. |
| Products and variants — title, SKU, price, description | Building your Factro item master so counter sales and quick invoices use real items. |
| Product inventory quantity | An opening stock balance, used only once for an item that has never had a stock movement in Factro. |
Not imported: card numbers, payment credentials, gateway transaction data, Shopify staff accounts, themes, discounts configuration, or anything from apps other than your orders and products.
Permissions, and why each one is needed
| Scope | Why Factro asks for it |
|---|---|
| read_orders | The core of the integration — without it Factro cannot see an order at all. |
| read_all_orders | Shopify only returns roughly the last 60 days of orders under read_orders alone. This is a Shopify API restriction, not a Factro one. Without it, your first sync silently misses your older order history. |
| read_products | Builds your item master, so an invoice line matches a real product with the right SKU and price instead of free text. |
All three are read-only. Factro requests no write scope of any kind, so it cannot edit orders, change inventory, alter prices, or modify anything in your Shopify admin.
Install
- Open the Factro listing on the Shopify App Store and choose Install. Shopify shows you the three read-only permissions above.
- Approve the install. Shopify sends you back to Factro.
- Sign in to Factro as the account Owner, or create your Factro account if you do not have one yet. The install waits for you.
- The store attaches to your Factro tenant and the first sync starts on its own. Watch progress under Dashboard → Integrations.
The install link is valid for 30 minutes and can be used exactly once. If you take longer, or you open the link twice, start the install again from Shopify — nothing is lost.
Only a Factro Owner can attach a store, because a store connection is a tenant-wide credential.
Reconnect
Reconnect when Factro tells you a permission is missing — most often on a connection authorised before catalogue import existed, which holds an orders-only token. Your orders keep importing throughout; only the catalogue leg is paused.
- Open Dashboard → Integrations in Factro.
- On your Shopify connection, choose Reconnect.
- Approve the permissions on Shopify.
- Choose Sync now. Your catalogue imports on the next run.
Reconnecting refreshes the existing connection. It does not create a second one, and it does not re-import orders you already have.
Uninstall
- In Shopify, open Settings → Apps and sales channels.
- Find Factro and choose Uninstall.
Shopify notifies Factro immediately. Factro then deletes the stored access token, rotates the store's inbound webhook token and deactivates the connection, so neither direction keeps working. No further orders are imported.
Data deletion
Uninstalling stops the connection but leaves the business records already created in your Factro account — your customers, sales orders and invoices — because they are your books.
- To delete the connection and its stored credentials: Dashboard → Integrations → Delete connection, or simply uninstall from Shopify.
- To erase a specific shopper's contact details, email support@factro.in from your registered address, or send Shopify's customer-redaction request from your store.
- To delete your whole Factro account and its data, email support@factro.in.
Shopify's customers/redact request erases the shopper's email, phone, contact person and addresses from Factro. The customer's name and any invoice already issued to them are kept where tax, accounting or statutory record rules require the issued document to stay intact. Full details are in the privacy policy.
Pricing
The Shopify connector is free. It carries no separate charge and no usage fee. It connects your store to a Factro subscription, which is billed separately. Factro international list pricing starts at $49/month; India and South Asia use INR regional pricing from ₹1,499/month. Every new account gets a 14-day free trial. Current plans and prices are shown inside the app under Billing, and international procurement is handled by quote while self-service card billing runs in INR.
